Re: FreeHand is back, at least on my MacBook Pro with Maveri
This is such wonderful news!!!! I have recently bought a new MacMini running OSX Maverick and using a PC running FreeHand to work on my old files which is such a mission!!!! I would love to run the Snow Leopard Server so that I can work on one computer, but I live in South Africa, so how do I go abo...

Re: Creating PDF files from FreeHand
Klaus, are you using the "Save as Adobe PDF" option from FreeHand? Are you not getting any problems with your fonts becoming jagged/bitmapped? I am going mad because there are certain files that I cannot successfully make a PDF from ... if the file contains a font that is converted to path...

Re: Creating PDF files from FreeHand
Just tried the "save as PDF-X" and that also doesn't work. The note from Adobe explains the fact that they've removed the PPD and that you should now use the workflow "Save as Adobe PDF" but that option does not work with all my fonts. They also mention that you can reinstall the...

Re: Creating PDF files from FreeHand
I really appreciate your feedback, but my problem is that before doing the update, everything was working perfectly, regardless of the complexity of the object, pasted inside etc. (as you mentioned) If I had been having these problems before, then I would agree that it had something to do with the f...

Re: Creating PDF files from FreeHand
Since posting the problem, I have noticed that it's not only my fonts that are bitmapping ... all my drawing (I have been doing technical drawings) is now jagged i.e. no smooth curves. Some lines are thick and some are thin where they should all be the same line width. I have posted a reply on the A...

Creating PDF files from FreeHand
I have just upgraded my Adobe Acrobat Pro to version 9.4.2 and the Adobe PPD is no longer working in order to create postscript files which then go through Distiller. I have posted this problem on the Adobe forum and have been told that the PPD is no longer in use and that you must go Print > Save a...
