Re: Last Apple Mac Model that supports Snow Leopard/Freehand
To the best of my knowledge, the last iMac with Snow Leopard and Rosetta was the mid 2011 model. Mine is 12,2 and it shipped with 10.6.6 with Rosetta as an optional install if I remember correctly.

Re: Transparency in Freehand 9
You might want to try using the 'Lens' fill option. It should achieve the effect you're describing, certainly with vector shapes.
I've attached a screen shot of 3 objects (In FHMX). Each has a 50% lens fill.

Re: Freehand MXa: not enough memory to do this...
I'm unsure if this will help but if you have many buildings that reuse the same graphic (you mentioned cloning them earlier) then perhaps you could use the Library to store them and then place 'instances' of the building(s) symbols on your map instead. That may help reduce memory load. I'm assuming ...

Re: FreeHand PDF as PDFX/3 compliant problem
This doesn't answer your question (my apologies), but what about "printing" a postscript file and running through Acrobat Distiller using a PDF/X-3 setting (if you have it)? I don't suppose it's any quicker than your Illustrator workaround, but if you set up a watched folder then Distiller...

Re: Overview of working virtual solutions
Thank you for your reply Mark. It's good to hear that there doesn't seem to be any performance degradation. Thanks for suggesting the Macworld site, I'll go and have a look :) It'll be interesting to see how you get on with VirtualBox, especially with it being free. Look forward to hearing your repo...

Re: Overview of working virtual solutions
Hi all, I was hoping to get some honest feedback about how well Freehand runs in a virtualised Snow Leopard Server environment as I'm seriously considering updating to Mavericks (from Snow Leopard). I've bought a copy of Snow Leopard Server 10.6.3 (unlimited clients) from Apple but have yet to decid...

Re: Gravit - Public Beta available out now
Quick comment about the artboard colour. Will users be able to change this? I ask because I like drawing and doing bits off the side of the pages and the current dark background can sometimes mess with colour/values perception. Just a thought.

Re: will converting colors when exporting to pdf make a diff
I don't think it will. Any colours used in Freehand on native shapes, text etc. will be converted to RGB but the Tiff will remain CMYK. At least it has when I've tried it before. I don't think exporting works for Spot colours either, but I might be wrong with that one.

Re: Gravit - Public Beta available out now
On the Mac version it's the cog icon at the top right side of the document panel. I've attached a screen shot to hopefully help (it goes blue after selecting it).

Re: Gravit - Public Beta available out now
Congratulation on getting the Beta 3 out. It's nice to see the extra functions and additions. A suggestion with regards to the colours if I may. The document properties (cog icon) helps some way but there's still some confusion (for me anyway). When the colour box appears the sliders are CMYK but th...
