Re: HELP!! FH on 10.8.5 - no luck, just a lot of wasted time
I ran into that trying to install it on a newer macbook without a dvd drive. I had to install it using the installation dvd on an external dvd drive. For some reason the disc image would not work. If you don't have an external you may be able to share the dvd drive from another mac. Hope this helps.

Re: HELP!! FH on 10.8.5 - no luck, just a lot of wasted time
I have 6 machines with Mavericks running Snow Leopard Server in VMware Fusion 7. 4 of the machines are 2009 - 2010 iMacs. The others are newer macbook pros. All have upgraded to 8-12 gb of memory. This seemed to be a huge help as before they had 4 gb and would barely run. I allocate 2-4 gb to the VM...

Re: Affinity Designer
If there is anyone on here who has not checked this out. Do it! This is the closest thing I’ve seen to Freehand. These guys are doing a great job with this app. I’ve been following the beta for a few months and have now purchased the first release. The version that is out right now is still lacking ...

Re: FreeHand is back, at least on my MacBook Pro with Maveri
Got FH mx to work, can't find the toolbar that holds the TEXT tool, or any others like line, box, circle. Any suggestions? Should I trash the Pref. file? SLS under paralles 8. That's where I would start. I've copied my prefs file from another installation and replaced it with the bad one. If you ha...

Re: FreeHand is back, at least on my MacBook Pro with Maveri
When I try and launch it, after 5 seconds it just stops bouncing and closes. I've tried several installs according to adobe's site and this one. MX works good one the main OS 10.6x but I need to get it working within SLS so I can upgrade to Mavericks. Please, any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Tks. So...

Re: FreeHand is back, at least on my MacBook Pro with Maveri
I've been using a similar setup for the past few months. I'm on a MacBook Pro with Mavericks, using VMWare Fusion 6 with Snow Leopard Server. Everything seems to run fairly well. I'm using Freehand for several hours a day. I've only seen a couple issues and they aren't a big deal. I cannot open file...

Re: Opentype Fonts in FreeHand MX
I usually flatten my pages before I export to PDF. Using modify/convert to image @ 300. I haven't ever had very good luck exporting PDFs out of Freehand. I don't know if that helps but if you are just sending proofs it might work.

Re: Object Inspector - MISSING!
It could be there is something wrong with your Preferences file. Go to "User"/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Freehand/11/English/Settings. You will find a Preferences file in there. Try taking it out and putting on your desktop or somewhere other than in that folder. Then restart F...

I know you can copy and paste text. How about objects? I copy from freehand to photoshop.
